The 2024-25 academic year starts on Monday 16 September 2024. All students must aim to arrive on campus in Newcastle by 16 September for the start of Semester 1. Some programmes may have an earlier start date, if this applies to you your academic school at the University will write to you to confirm this.
You can start the registration process online before you arrive. Information is available on our Student Welcome pages. Please note this information will be updated for the 2024-25 academic year on 5 August.
It is important that you arrive on time to ensure you don’t miss any important induction or teaching and assessment activities. However, if you are going to be late due to delays caused by issues such as immigration or travel delays, arrival up until Monday 7 October 2024 may be possible depending on your degree programme and subject to approval. To seek approval by submitting this form for a late start or you may contact : Latestartrequest@newcastle.ac.uk.
Students can still complete their registration if necessary after they arrive, but they must be able to attend classes from the latest arrival date approved by the University.
